I'm always trying out new smoothies by just putting things in a blender that I have in my refrigerator and by accident I made this smoothie and it was absolutely delicious! It really is blueberry heaven in your mouth! Hope you enjoy it as much as I did! You can have this as a post workout snack, as a breakfast or have it complement your lunch!

Duration: 5 minutes

The ingredients for 1 smoothie:
  • 3 tbs blueberries
  • 4-5 strawberries
  • 1 small banana
  • 1 tbs shredded coconut
  • 4 tbs quark or greek yoghurt
  • Splash of unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 ts chiaseeds
  • 1 ts flax seeds
  • 2 pecans

What you do:
  1. Simply blend all ingredients, except the pecans, in your blender until smooth. If it's a little but to thick just add more almond milk! Poor it into a large glass and top it of with more blueberries, 2 pecans and some more shredded coconut and this heavenly smoothie is ready!

  • 1 kiwi
  • Handful spinach
  • Splash of water
 Topping
  • 1 tbs blueberries

Green Smoothie Bowl

Time for another smoothie bowl! You can have it for breakfast or as a post workout snack, either way it's delicious and super simple to make! Because I use quark in my smoothie it contains enough proteins to refuel my muscles after a workout, but if you eat it as breakfast these proteins make sure that your blood sugar levels remain stable which is a very important aspect of my philosophy on clean eating! You can read more about this on the following page: About Me & Clean Eating.

 Duration: 5 minutes

Just mix the following ingredients in a blender until smooth and top it off with some homemade granola, hemp seeds and 2-3 pecans. If you like you can also add some mulberries.
  • 1 peeled banana
  • 1 kiwi, skin removed
  • 1 tbs coconut grater
  • Handful of fresh spinach leaves
  • 3 tbs quark or (greek) yoghurt
  • Splash of water
  • 1 tbs chia seeds
  • 1 tbs flax seeds

 Enjoy!

Superb Spinach Smoothie

Up till now I only posted one smoothie recipe: the strawberry smoothie! So it was about time I posted another one. I had some leftover spinach and a lot of pears and bananas since these were on sale so I decided to put them all together in a smoothie after my workout and it was absolutely delicious!!! Didn't expect this at all because the idea of spinach in my smoothie just didn't seem right. But it was perfect! It's the perfect post workout smoothie due to the added quark, but if you want a dairy free version just omit it. You can also have it as breakfast!

The ingredients for 1 smoothie:
  • 1 banana
  • 1 pear
  • handful spinach
  • 1 tbs coconut grater
  • 1/2 tbs chia seeds
  • splash of water
  • 2-3 tbs quark or (greek) yoghurt
  • And on top: some linseeds, chia seeds, coconut grater, pumpkin seeds and 1 crushed pecan

What you do:
Just mix all the ingredients, expect for the ones on top, in your blender until smooth. If it's too thick just add some more water. Poor it into a glass, top with the linseeds, chia seeds, coconut grater, pumpkin seeds and crushed pecan and this delicious superb spinach smoothie is ready!

Enjoy!

Supercharge Strawberry Smoothie Bowl

I prefer my smoothies with almond or coconut milk because I just don't like to drink a thick substances. Because I do this it just doesn't make a perfect post workout snack or breakfast. But now I have the solution!! A smoothie bowl! This is just perfect! It tastes like I smoothie but you eat it like a bowl of quark. You can have this after your workout or as breakfast. It's super quick and easy and has enough proteins in it to avoid spikes in your blood sugar and insulin levels.

Duration: 5 minutes

What you need:
  • 1 banana
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries
  • 4-5 tbs quark or (greek) yoghurt
  • 1 tbs coconut grater
  • 1 tbs flaxseeds
  • 1 tbs chia seeds
  • Handful mulberries
  • 1 tbs almond flakes

What you do:
Just blend all ingredients except the mulberries, 1 or 2 strawberries and the almond flakes in your blender until smooth and pour into a bowl. Top it off with the chopped fresh strawberries, almond flakes and mulberries. I also sprinkled some extra coconut grates, chia seeds and flaxseeds on top!

Variation tip:  Try some pollen or goji berries on top or homemade granola! Or substitute the quark with greek yoghurt.

Enjoy!!!!
